The beaches of Santorini are best known by color. The most famous is the Black Beach, located in Perivolos and lined with tavernas, beach bars, and beachside amenities. The Red and White Beaches are just south of Akrotiri, are either partly or non-organized and each has its own unique appeal. The access to the White Brach is only by boat. 

If you are looking for a quick dip near Oia, Ammoudi Bay is a great alternative. Its smooth rocks are perfect for diving into the waters. The spot is particularly quaint, with a tiny chapel nestled in the rocks while you can observe the Caldera’s clifftop settlements from below.
