The fast ferry from Piraeus [“Highspeed”] which usually runs between early May and mid-October, takes about five hours while the slowest ferry takes about 10 hours to reach Santorini Island. Both offer the traveler a unique experience as they stop at least two Cycladic islands in-between. Fast ferries also connect Santorini to close by islands such as Mykonos, Ios, Amorgos and Folegandros.
BY AIRPLANE
Olympic, Aegean Airlines and Ryanair fly to Santorini from Athens at least once a day all year round and reach a total of more than 10 flights per day during high season. In addition, there is usually two or three flights per week that connect Santorini to the closest islands (Crete, Mykonos and Paros). Santorini is also serviced by a number of direct flights from European cities.
